Episode 144: Darin Bradford

Photographer Darin Bradford stopped by to chat for Episode 144.

In this episode Darin and I chat about the similarities between Starbucks and President Richard Nixon; how a woman stealing a gnome lead to a on going relationship with a client; may lack ability to recall Henry Darger and his Vivian Girls and Adaptation; the terrifying experiences of childhood dentistry and how the Bob Ross of dentistry turned it all around; how Darin’s world fell apart after he left the Mormon religion; mistaking Ash Wednesday for being Gothic; being sent from Rocklin, CA to some of the roughest neighborhoods in Washington, D.C.; what lead to working with Sacramento News and Review, and The Midnight Transfer.

Thank you for listening, Listeners, and thank you for sharing, Sharers, to my conversation with Darin Bradford. Be sure to follow him on Twitter, Facebook, and his website.

My girlfriend’s Uncle John passed away after a long and painful battle with cancer. He was not able to get life insurance because of pre-existing health conditions to help offset funeral costs. John was married to my girlfriend’s Aunt Lisa and the both of them love her like a daughter. Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated by myself and the family.

My new comedy podcast, The Anecdotalists, will be recording the third episode on August 15 at the B Street Theatre.
