Episode 127: Allyson Seconds

Allyson Seconds stopped by to chat with me for Episode 127 (along with her dogs Hank and Lu).

Allyson and I chat about her new album Little Word; going from the harmonies to lead singing; working with Anton Barbeau and meeting in Midtown 30 years ago; the best era of local music that I missed out on (but got the tail end of it); why she found peace when everyone else was lamenting the closure of True Love Coffeehouse; why Bodytribe Fitness isn’t about “The Guns and The Abs”; and powering through a wicked dog fart to finish the interview.

Thank you for listening, Listener, and thank you for sharing, Sharer, to my conversation with Allyson Seconds. Be sure to follow her buy her album Little World and follow her on Instagram.

Late to the party on these. That’s what you get for working in Lodi, I guess. Anyway, is there an archive of older posts? When I went to the pages for previous posts (e.g., my former SN&R coworker Cosmo Garvin), the audio clip at the bottom was for the most current post.

Hi, Jackson. I just realized there isn’t a search bar on the website. Here’s a linke to Cosom’s episode: http://www.stspodcast.com/2016/07/episode-116-cosmo-garvin/. If you click on the “Serious Talk. Seriously” part at the top of the website, it’ll take you to the main page. You’ll be able to scroll through all of the previous guests.
