Episode 76: Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage

Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage

Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage owners Laura and Tim Matranga chatted with me at the first Second Saturday inside of the WAL Building on R Street. They opened the store in May of this year.

Tim and I chat about musical obsession; the time it takes to track down a musical obsession; our favorite music; the joy of organizing records; and the origins of Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage.

Laura and I chat about her design and poster background (under the name Asbestos Press); moving from an antique mall to Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage; turning hobbies into careers; and finding the perfect German or French expression for certain feelings.

Thanks for listening, Listeners, and thanks for sharing, Sharers!

-Johnny

P.S. Why are bird owners so fucking weird?
