My guest for Episode 29 is Renee Green. Renee owns Jimmy’s Barber Garage (which she named after her grandfather) and has been cutting hair and shaving faces for a decade. She started off as a video game tester in her early days, followed a family friend’s advice into the barber trade, and hasn’t looked back.
We talk about “7-11 feet”, where barber poles come from, how cutting hair and stripping can get you through college (or keep you from starting), disregarding the Scarlet “S” of working at SuperCuts, and bucking the trend of charging women more for a haircut. Renee Green is a person who goes against the grain of her industry.
Thanks for stopping by and listening!
